5 Days Adventure in Norway
If you are looking for a trip full of adventure and exploring new sites, Norway is a great place for that. You will get a good mix of exploring sites and find adventure in nature.
Day 1
Explore the capital. First thing first, Oslo is a beautiful city to explore and the best part of doing this at the beginning of the trip is that the city is not that big so you can easily get around in one day.
Morning: Viking Ship Museum
Norway is known for the Viking history that took place for over 250 years. It's recorded to historically begin with the fight at Lindisfarne in year 793. You will learn about their craftsmanship and their way of living at this museum.
Afternoon: Vigeland Park
This is a park in Oslo centrum that has a collection of over 200 sculptures in bronze, granite, and cast iron. All of these sculptures are made by the same man, Gustav Vigeland. The park is known for its naked sculptures that all symbolize times in life. The most famous sculptures are called The Angry Boy, The Monolith, and The Wheel of Life.
Day 2
Travel down south to Stavanger.
Morning: Pulpit Rock
The Pulpit Rock is a famous hike that has a cliff drop 604 meters high (1982 feet.) It's an intermediate hike that takes about 1-1.5 hours up and 1 hour down. It's challenging and fun. You might recognize the cliff from a scene in the last Mission Impossible movie with Tom Cruise because this is where it was filmed.
Afternoon: Kjeragsbolten
This is another hike that takes about 3 hours. The summit is a round rock stuck between two mountains with a 984 meter (3228 feet) drop down to the fjord.
Day 3
Travel to the west coast to Bergen.
Morning: Geiranger Fjord
This fjord is the most popular in Norway. It has a nice little town down by the water, and a lookout point higher up in the mountain. From this lookout, you will see the fjord with the beautiful mountains surrounding it.
Afternoon: Explore Bergen
Bergen is known for its cute, colorful, little houses on the harbor and its good food in the restaurants. Explore the city and eat some good food. Later make your way to Odda campsite to experience a typical Norwegian family camping.
Day 4
All-day: Trolltunga hike
This is a hard and long hike that takes you to the troll tongue. The hike is 28 kilometer (7.4 miles) and the tongue has a view over a fjord with a drop 1,100 meter (3,600 feet) above sea level.
Day 5
The last place important to visit is Lofoten. This is further up north and requires a flight to save time.
Morning: Lofoten Islands
Lofoten islands are known for their beautiful scenery with dramatic mountains, fishing villages, small towns on the different islands, and even nice beaches. It's beauty to the eyes and worth taking time to see.
Afternoon: Glasshytta
In Vikten in Lofoten, there is a hut where Northern Norway's first glassblower started creating glass artwork, inspired by the beautiful landscapes in Vikten. You can tour the grounds, buy some artwork, or just take a break at a coffee shop with beautiful surroundings.
