There are many different types of restaurants in Norway, however, it might be surprised how hard it is to find restaurants that serve traditional Norwegian food. Norway has a lot of immigrants from many different countries that influence both the culture of the country and of the food. There are only fine dining restaurants that serve traditional food because the dishes are considered luxuries. The only times these dishes are made in homes are on specific or special occasions.
There are other fine dining restaurants that serve international food, but most of the casual full-service and quick-service restaurants serve international food. One dish that is one of the most popular in Norway is the Turkish kebab. They are often in a small quick-service restaurant located in a centered and popular area. A location like this helps their popularity to grow quickly because of their accessibility. This is in fact one of the key factors to profitability.
Even though a quick-service restaurant is considerably popular, there are many international full-service restaurants that serve delicious international food. These restaurants are usually the cheaper ones, while national food is more expensive and less accessible.
