This morning we packed up our camp, we stayed at Lasseters campsite again. We are driving towards Alice Springs now, but decided to go and look at the Henbury Craters on the way. We turned off the highway onto a dirt and rock road, we drove for 15 kms (mum doesn't like roads like this and gets really worried). We made it to the craters and got out to check the car, it seemed ok, but the water tank under the camper trailer has got a leak, dad will have to fix it in Alice Springs. We had a quick lunch and then went for a walk around the top of the crater. The signs say it's over 4000 years old and the main crater is 185 m around the top and 15 m deep. It was really interesting to walk around, all around it's like a desert, but in the middle of the crater there are lots of trees and some grass. One of the craters even collects water like a dam and lets animals and birds have a water supply. It was amazing. We found a camp ground and camped there for the night. We didn't really do any thing. But in the morning Ethan and l made an emu. We used a dead bush for the body, a rusty tin for the head, stickers for the eyes and purple paper for the beak.
