Slept extremely well after the 'survivor stylie' party last night and was woken at 7 by some lads dancing to southparks, 'suck on my chocolate salty balls'! Brought back memories of waking up at global gathering, hung over in a sweaty tent, only difference was there was no glover pubes scattered about and when I opened the door, the sea air enveloped me and made me feel a whole lot better!
The huge 'biting sand flies' are an absolute killer but my 100% deet spray seems to be doing it's job so far!
After breakfast we drove to Eli creek, pure water and sand was our only shower! We then chilled on the top of bretts van before taking a trip to see the mahino luxury passenger boat shipwreck also used as a hospital ship in ww1 because of it's speed! On jul 8th 1935 the boat had been decommissioned and the Japanese were towing it when a cyclone hit and it ended up on 75m beach! It has also been used for target practice!
Today it wad my turn to drive on the beach and everything was going well until I got us all stuck on a hill! Not really feeling tatianas german tune about facebook, ill have to try and keep her away from the stereo!!! We then went to champagne pools, a secluded little spot where a rock wall separates the still pools from the raging sea!
We then walked upto the viewpoint at Indians head which received it's name in 1770 when cpt cook sailed past and saw aboriginal people waving to warn him of the rocks! Brett our cool tour guide had me in stitches today as he's giving out instructions, he likes to march, give himself a finger moustache whilst saluting hitler before apologising to the germans!
