Today we were supposed to go to the rope park, but a massive storm hit and we didn’t get a chance to, we went to the pub for a bit and walked around town. That was all.

We had a huge day today, first we went to Interlaken and went canyoning. The canyon we went into was called Saxeten. We got suited up into full body wetsuits, life jackets, booties and helmets, then drove up the road to Saxeten where we walked up a mountain for 10 minutes then jumped into the river, we walked along for a while, then abseiled 12 meters down into the canyon then came to the first waterfall (and our first jump), which was about 2 meters high, we th...

Lauterbrunnen is spectacular! It is in a valley and the campsite we stayed in had snow capped mountains facing it, on each side of the mountains close by there were waterfalls every few meters from each other (which just got more beautiful as the rain got heavier), they call it the valley of 74 waterfalls. The second day was Jason’s birthday =-) we hired bikes in the morning and rode to the outskirts of town (which took like 5 minutes). The colour of the river is this amazing emerald green which is because it stems from glacial ice (just magnificent). In the afternoon, we caught the bus to Lauterbrunnen which only took about an hour to get to, pitched our tent up and drank a bottle of wine to celebrate.

Bern is the capital of Switzerland, it was freaky crossing the border as it is not part of the EU they have a border check with guards that have guns, they’re quite intimidating! The first day in Bern, we walked around and just took in the awesome scenery and the 15 odd fountains they have (you pretty much can’t walk 20 meters without running into a fountain).
