We just so happened to be in Granada on the one day of the year where they celebrate an old tradition..bull running. I thought Spain was the only country that still celebrated this tradition.. It wasn't quite like how they release 30 or so Bulls all down cornered off street for the Bulls to run down. Here they just went round with a big cattle truck and they would untie and release a few Bulls at a time and everyone would leg it. The atmosphere around was insane everyone from the whole town was getting involved and when it stared to pour it down it made it even more fun. For the first release we all stood behind the truck and just watched to see when would happen. The first time they released 3 bulls one guy got absolutely nailed.! Everyone moved out of the way like a parting sea and this guy was the last one at the back and didn't have any time to move.. He got wheeled off into an ambulance. He'll be battered for a while if he wakes up.! To start with the horses were way more intimidating than the thought of the Bulls being released.! There were guys all the way down the roads on both sides mounted on these huge horses head to toe in cowboy gear, and the horses didn't really stop for anyone.! But when they brought the massive truck with all the Bulls in through the streets my heart definitely started going.! The size of them was insane and just how thick and solid they were.! Me and Seb on the second release were stood in front of the truck and although we thought we were daring being in front of the Bulls... We were nothing like the locals who stand right in front of the truck they get released from, shouting and screaming at the Bulls and slapping their shirts on the floor and on the Bulls to try and tease the bull out. It was a massive adrenaline rush, not only because of the Bulls and sprinting down the street but everyone shouting and screaming made a wicked atmosphere and definitely a once in a lifetime experience.! I would have rated this higher on the thrill seekers list than the volcano boarding for sure.
