The Gold Coast, also known as surfers paradise, I could see why. A long stretch of sandy beach about 4 miles long with perfect white water waves.! It was nice to have a fairly big city built up right on the Coast unlike Melbourne and Sydney which are about 20 minutes or so from the city centre to the coast. There was definitely a young backpacker vibe on the Gold Coast.! Soo many people in the city trying to get us to go out on a bar crawl kinda made it feel a little like Ibiza. Loads or parties and bars along the front. The thing I found annoying about surfers was that they'd built 4 sky scrapers along the beach front which by 2pm when the sun starts to settle behind them you find yourself scooching down the beach avoiding the shadow if the buildings.!
