Got up around 9am this morning, and got ready, then headed down to the bus stop and caught the bus to Sea World. Went to the Sea Lion show, which was a show where the seals were detectives and did lots of tricks and it was pretty funny. Then we went up to Ray Reef for the Stingray feeding. You could put your hand in the water and touch the rays, which was pretty cool, they felt so silky! After this we headed to Dolphin Cove, for the dolphin show, where the dolphins did jumps and tricks and the guys talked about the dolphins, and swam and did tricks with them and everything. Then we went to see the polar bears, but they were just sleeping, so we went to Shark Bay instead. We went on a boat that had a glass bottom, so we could see into the bay, and all these massive sharks and fish were swimming right underneath us. Then we went to the bar for lunch, for some wedges/seafood basket and a beer before we went off to see the Planet SOS 4D show, which was about the destruction of the environment and it’s effect on wildlife. After that was the fairy penguin feeding. They gave them heaps of little fish, some ate out of their hands and some ate out of the water. Then we went back to the polar bear shores to see if they were awake, and one was playing in the water, while the other was watching. The one that was swimming was teasing the other one for ages trying to get him in the water, and he finally jumped in and they were play fighting for a bit, then both went off into the cave. Then it was ride time! The first one we went on was called the Viking Flute Ride, which was a raft ride, that went around pretty slowly for a while before ending on a big drop, and we got splashed with water. Then Darren went off for a beer, while I went on the Jet Ski Rescue, which was a rollercoaster that looked like jet skis, and the Corkscrew, which was a rollercoaster with a few loop the loops. After that I went on the Jet Ski Rescue again, before meeting Darren at the bar. We went to the chocolate shop and bought a few lollies, then went on the monorail that went around the whole park, then caught the Sky Way, which was a lift sort of thing that took us along the length of the park back to the entrance, and we got the bus back to the apartment. Relaxed there for a while then went for a walk down to Broadbeach and went to a place called Valentino’s for tea and had pumpkin soup with Italian bread/tortellini pasta, and it was great. Then we walked home, watched a bit of TV then went to bed.
