we got up early and we left the hostel just before 8 to go to the meeting point of our tour. we took a coach to Neuschwwanstein castle which was about 2hours away. on the way we watched a dvd the guide had made about the history of the castle and creator King ludwig. as the tour in the castle is the politically correct version. we arrived and met the other guide. we started off with a bike ride out to and around Swan lake. we then had lunch and our guide showed us heaps of card tricks which were amazing ( he went to Magic school for 2 years!!)
we then did a walk up to the waterfall gorge to get the castle. we did a tour through the castle which was impressive all the walls were painted with murals. King Ludwig bedroom took 14 carpenters 4 years to build as his room had all these detailed carving- his bed was impressive. after the tour we walked across a very high bridge which the King had built for his mother.
we returned back to Munich at just before 8pm so we were exhausted
