There's really not alot to tell of this here day BUT, I like to put an entry in for each place because it makes a wee dot on the map and that's COOL. We had a long drive to River Valley from Taupo. We drove through Tongariro National Park so it was great to just sit back, relax and take in the sites. 23rd March Out and on the road sharp again. Stopped at a Geothermal park to see some geisers, mud pools and hot springs. Cooked up an egg in a hot pool and scranned it, as you do, casual. The geisers were really quite phenomenal to see. Pretty powerful little numbers, got a bit wet. 21st March Bounced out of bed at 7am and a team of us went for a run before the bus. Quite nice to run in a group, novel. Ran a nice woodland track, tuns of stairs, until we found ourselves in a field of very aggressive looking bulls. Flip-reversed and ran back to the hostel. Hit the road early with the rain still going strong. Many of the roads were actually flooded and it was touch and go at times. Stopped for a trail walk on our way, through some caves. Bus left base just after 8am, in the pissing rain. Not cold but absolute teaming down. Vaughn our driver is a wee newbie and seems a bit nervous. Started the drive to Coromandel.
