This morning we got up and took a "water taxi" aka. a little speed boat, to Abel Tasman National Park. It was a fun, fast and furious little ride and once there we done the Pitt Head hike. Our bus left Wellington at 7am for the ferry. Rhona and I were both absolutley nackered for no good reason really. Sat on the sun deck of the ferry for a bit and watched the sun rise but it was pretty nippy so we had to head inside for some warmth. We only had one day in Wellington, the capital, after enjoying our confotable stay in Paraparaumu too much. So, we made the most and it was a very busy one. Sue took us to the station in the morning and we fired onto the train into the big city. Its phenomenal the amount of people who make conversation with you when you have a backpack and are clearly a traveller. 26th March - 28th March Today we left River Valley, but, before we did. We went to do a walk up the other side of the valley and were pointed in the direction of the "bridge". My arse, bridge. A swinging, pulley contraption suspended over the river which you had to pull towards you, swing out on, then hopefully manage to shimmy your way over to the otherside.
