Our bus left Wellington at 7am for the ferry. Rhona and I were both absolutley nackered for no good reason really. Sat on the sun deck of the ferry for a bit and watched the sun rise but it was pretty nippy so we had to head inside for some warmth. Had a big cooked breakfast then hit the recliner room for a nap....ended up sleeping for almost the entire 3hour journey. Bit of a fail to be honest as the scenery on the journey is supposed to be pretty tasty, Should really have been taking in such sights but...couldn't be helped! Off the ferry at Picton where we once again had to wave farewell to Evelyn who was scampering off to do some hiking trek. Boarded the bus to Kaiteriteri. A lovely little seaside spot. Didn't get there until about 5pm, long long day of travelling so went out for a refreshing run to shake off the groggyness. Conquered some fearsome hills and then done some beach laps and Rhona put in a great effort keeping up the pace. I'm like her Gillian, from biggest loser, Mrs. Motivater. Booked our flight from Christchurch back up to Auckland for mid April for when we are heading to Oz. Bit of a stinger in price as it's easter time, but necessary! Headed to bed in our TINY 5-bed room. Below par accomodation.
