Once again up at the crack of dawn and enjoyed a free breakfast at the Motel amongst a massive team of wrestlers. As good a way to start the day as any. "On the road again" (we play this song alot) on our way to Yosemite National Park. It was a beautiful day in the park, cold but bright and crispy. There was some snow on the ground which made the hike we did a bit of a battle but all good fun. We took a wee picnic and munched that next to the "Grizzly Giant" tree (MUM-the one I seen on TV!). The trees in this place are of bewildering size. Hiked back to the van and travelled to Bridalveil falls, a stunning waterfall in the park. Took that in for a bit before Casey moved us on and walked us to his "special place". Sounds creepy, but it wasn't. It was a serene, secluded area around a lake, no one else was about, the tourists don't seen to walk in so far. We all just sat for a bit in silence. Drinking in the peaceful surroundings. We moved onto another spot from here and watched the sun nestle in behind the mountains. Disappointed not to have seen a bear kicking about. Last time Casey was there he seen one and I had visions of me befriending one...not to be. Brilliant day nontheless. BL, you would love it there. SO many hike trails, beautiful scenery, super fresh air and I'm pretty sure you could sniff out some soup. Your kind of paradise.

After the sun had set we powered on in the van to our hostel. WHAT a place. Yosemite Bug it was called just outside the park. The place is on a hillside so all the cabins are staggered down the hill. The whole place had a laid back, homely vibe. Pretty hippy feel actually. Ate some great food, had a glass of red before getting involved in some HOT TUB action. That's right. They had a mini spa in there. Sat in the hot tub with the ceiling to floor glass doors wide open breathing in the fresh air and peering down the mountainside. Had a sauna, hit the hot tub again....and so the evening contined. Good times. Went back to the bar for a bit and managed to borrow a computer to write some blog...got cut off and lost it all so went to bed in a proper huff. Got over it though. No worries.
