We ventured onto our canoe safari down the Murchison River today. For some reason people got up at 6 in the morning, i didnt get up til an hour later and i still had time to hav a cup of tea before we left! We had a wee four wheel drive up stream to where we were starting, was rather bumpy! We all had to be in groups of 3 for the canoes, I was with Chloe and Doreen. Must admit we were not the best at this canoing thing to begin with, we just kept going across the river and never seemed to manage to stay in a straight line, it was so annoying!! However on the last leg of the canoing we were amzing, somethin just clicked and we totally finished 1st, it was awesome!! The last leg was really good tho cause we were up with everyone and going down these narrow channels so we would push each other out of the way and splash each other, was a good giggle! We also sang most of the way down as well to keep us going! We stopped half way for some brunch of a fry up which was amazing!

This afternoon we took out some pedalos in the estuary. Cato and Mandy were in one, me and Lotte in another and Chloe and Flo in another. Luke and Doreen joined us later. It was quite good fun and we went out quite far. We even went in for a wee swim but it was pretty cold. Chloe actually ended up swimming all the way back, no idea how she had the energy to do it, i would just hav drowned! When we got back there was a pelican at the beach which was quite cool to see and we even got to feed it fish! Luke also took us out along some cliffs to see some amazing coastine. We got back to Kalbarri to watch our 1st sunset on the west coast of Australia. It was really quite amazing. We took some drinks down with us and a few of us stayed down drinkin for quite a while, was pretty dark by the time we made it back to the hostel!
