So I got up bright and early this morning to do my first day of house keeping! It wasnt actually too bad, except for the fact that we had to wait for bedding to be washed and dried before we could make up all the beds. However we did get showered and had lunch in the mean time.

After completing all our choars me Beccy and Gina (the other girl in our room who is also doing house keeping) went to the Botanical Gardens. Only had about an hour there casue the last bus back into town was riduclously early. However the gardens were really nice and actually looked Australian compared to other ones i've been in. Was so excited to see a kangaroo close up! It was obviously a male kangaroo and this kid walked past and said "whats the dangly thing hanging down between its legs?" and at that we all burst out laughing! Another kid also said "look at its testicals swinging" and again that set us off laughing!

Had a chicken and rice risotto back for dinner with Beccy and Gina which was really nice. A weird guy from Darwin did come and join us for a while and he actually had a mullet!! Some other car nuts also joined us talking about the SummerNats as if it was gonna be interesting but we were well bored!
