Yesterday we had a 10 hour bus trip to get to Malaysia. We had a nightmare getting out of Thailand through immigration. Which makes absolutely no sense as we were leaving their country. During the drive from the border to Penang we watched the new James Bond film, which passed the time quite well. By the time we got to Penang it was almost dinner time. We had dinner at the Hawker stands, which is kinda like a food court with alot of traditional foods and I tried everything which was quite impressive. After that we went shopping and then to a few bars.

This morning we had breakfast in the Rainforest Restaurant and then got a taxi to the Kek Lok Si Temple, wandered around there for an hour and then went to Penang hill. We went up a very crowded funicular railway, visited two temples at the top and then walked the 5km down the hill again. We were knackered by the time we finished, especially as it was so hot. We went into the gardens at the bottom and then just gave up and went back to the hotel. In the evening we had an Indian and then a few drinks at Soho.
