We left Penang early on a public bus to the Cameron Highlands. It took forever to get there, as it was all up high! The weather there was alot cooler, it was strange to see everyone in trousers and jackets. All except me as I have no trousers with me - That was a bad plan. We had tea and scones in a tea shop (well actually I had chocolate cake and a milkshake but the plan was for tea and scones) and wandered around the town. In the evening we had a steamboat (which is where you have to cook your own food on the table) That was good fun, mostly as I did none of the cooking to avoid giving anyone food poisoning! After that we went to the only bar in town to watch football, but there wasn't any on until 1.30am so we just sat there.
In the morning we went on a mini tour, firstly we visited a tea plantation, which was actually quite fun. We also had some tea and yet again cake. It was lush. After that we went to a butterfly farm, which as full of all kinds of insects. It was cool as if you put the butterlfy on your head or your arm they would stay there for ages. I held a chamaleon but freaked out when attempting to hold a snake. It was actually quite embarrasing, crying and everything! Kate held it though. Then we went to a strawberry farm, which was actually kinda boring but I had strawberry ice cream so all was not lost! We then got a bus to Kuala Lumpur
