Friday 7th August am Swindon

We had a later sleep in and decided to go to Swindon and see the Great Western Workshops building that now houses MacArthur Glen Shopping Outlet. The building has been beautifully decorated. The centre is one of the largest covered designer outlets in Europe with over 90 High Street and designer brands shops.

There were some amazing top end stores but even their reduced prices I couldn't afford but we did have the best coffee that we have had all the time in Britain. The owner was a young man, early 30s from Hungary who chatted to us for ages and was very interested in the fact that we came from New Zealand.

The areas of Swindon that we drove through seemed Ok but most people told us to give the town a miss. We were also going to have a look at Gloucester but were told the same thing except for the cathedral and the seaside so not going there either.
