Saturday 26th September - By Train to Limoux We went and got onto the correct platform and the railcar was all ready to go so we hopped on board and waited the 5 minutes before it commenced its journey. We crossed over the Midi Canal and out into the countryside. Grapes for as far as you could see and some areas alongside of the railway track were planted on small patches of land. Saturday 26th September - Wasting Time in Carcassonne! Well what to do for the next 90 minutes? We wandered back from the station and watched the canal boats in the harbour basin. Saturday 26th September- Coffee and Market in the Square We were out rather early this morning and were having coffee in La Place Carnot but not at our usual cafe as it was closed? There was a wind and it was a bit cool. So we backtracked and got a jersey. But the man next door was only too happy to serve us. Saturday 26th September - Fricassee of Poulet Nothing like the fricassee that we get at home but the presentation of Jan's meal was superb as she had the main part of the meal on her plate and a saucepan on the side that she could ladle as much or as little as you wanted. Luckily we had a table that could be set for 4 as we needed the extra space for all the extra things that made up our meal.
