Thursday 24th September - Basilica de St Nazaire Out onto the street and wandering around these narrow alleys and we spied a Best Western hotel and probably the best of those that we have seen. Thursday 24th September - Maison du Cassoulet We came back and got a table in the corner in the outside enclosed yard under the huge tree set in the centre. There were about 20 tables and they were all full. What attracted us to this place was the set menu for €13.50 which included an entrée, a main course and a dessert. Thursday 24th September - The Comtal Chateau The last line of defence, The Comtel Chateau was built in the 12th century and was constantly altered throughout the following centuries. Thursday 24th September - The Tilt Yard Once we were through the two massive gates we came into this courtyard area between the two walls called the Tilt Yard. There was a wagon set up for tourists and connected to the wagon were two horses, like Clydesdales so Jannie thought it would be a good idea to hitch a ride so to speak.
