Happy Christmas from us down here. Ours is half way through and you're still asleep, well those not having Santa duties to perform!!!! Just get the deliveries done and bingo the little horrors are awake!!! That's kids for you. Do enjoy as these years slip by rapidly. yes I know those extra hours asleep............
We were able to find the Carol service from Sydney which was lovely but not quite like my 3pm one at home on Christmas Eve. Tears flowing as I ban everyone from the kitchen to do final preparations and have a weep as that little boy sings the opening carol! Always think of his Mum!! So proud. Am in tears as I write this!!!!
Ken made me breakfast in bed, scambled eggs and smoke salmon. Then a lovely call from Gary, obviously up to do the Santa job!! Off to Church. As I said not quite me but good carols. Then when we got home decided we'd switch on and there were 28 messages! It was so lovely. They were from all over the globe as well. Had a lovely read of them and then opened our presents. Poor Ken on tenderhooks watching me!! he's made some "odd choices" well two, in the past and has had no one to help him this year [I did give him some help with a list!!!!] Lovely they are.
We then went for a saunter and lunch which was in the Hilton and was a Malaysian/Thai/Indian combination which really worked and was lovely.
Ken came back and I went to take photos of Christmas here in Cairns. VERY laid back and quiet, no hype which is lovely.
So for those who don't know the Cardiologist has decreed home. Ken's quadruple by-pass of 22 years are much past their sell by date [normally 8-10 years]. We are being allowoed back to Madang and we have two weeks to sell the car/boat/garden furniture and everything else and pack up!
So we feel that we have been given "back" a year that should have been spent in PNG. Adventures!!!!! So maybe you need to "watch this space".
Enjoy all the challenges ahead in 2010 ....... we will!
Love to you all.
