This was an overnight whilst enroute down to Hervey bay, was abit strange after being at a beach resort to suddenly staying in what seemed like the outback. So after a 10hr drive down from Airlie beach with a stop off enroute to play lawn bowls.... yes lawn bowls what a fun game this is, felt like I had aged 50yrs ha ha. Anyhows we arrived & were taken to our dorms or should I say stables... thats right we had to sleep in bunk beds in stables with concrete floors, it was totally freezing. I was so pleased when they said we had a roast for dinner however a little let down when finally got it!! We then sat round a camp fire by the bar which is an unused carriage... I wasn't drinking though as needed major detox after Whitsundays. This old bloke who owned the land taught us how to crack a whip, all I managed to crack was my hand about 100 times.... bloody killed. The highlight of the eve was to follow, this was riding a mchanical bull!! It was so funny watching everyone, however wasn't so funny when it came to my go as I was bucked flying ha ha. In the morning we were to be up by 6am to get ready for our next adventure which was riding horse back whilst herding up goats.... I was so scared getting on a horse but I managed it & thankfully didn't fall off, mind you I was making my horse go so slow it would have been impossible to fall off ha ha. After horse riding we got to take part in a goat rodeo, basically they would out a goat in a pen & 3 of us had to wrestle it to the ground (without hurting it) me being me was to scared it would ram me so decided to sit out of this task. I say this alot but anyone who ever comes to Oz & passes here should def make a night of it, good fun.
