Brisbane was ok till I ended up in Hospital.... Got taken in by a friend after complaining of pains in my back for days & making excuses not to see a Dr. Turns out after hours in hospital that I have a bad kidney infection... everyone says it's from to much drinking but I don't think so!! Anyhows whilst in Brisbane I went to the Steve Irwin zoo which was goos although he wasn't there. Then on my last day I walked around the city centre with my friend Bob & he too...

So once again from on extreme to another... Hervey bay is the place you start any Fraser island tours from. This is where 9 peeps get grouped up to got on a 3day / 2nt 4WD camping adventure. I was put with 4 Americans & 4 Irish peeps, the best part was our 4WD was bright pink my fav colour th guys looked fab driving ha ha. Fraser island is a complete sand island & we had to camp both nights just off the beach & to my disgust I had to dig a hole everytime I needed...

This was an overnight whilst enroute down to Hervey bay, was abit strange after being at a beach resort to suddenly staying in what seemed like the outback. So after a 10hr drive down from Airlie beach with a stop off enroute to play lawn bowls.... yes lawn bowls what a fun game this is, felt like I had aged 50yrs ha ha. Anyhows we arrived & were taken to our dorms or should I say stables... thats right we had to sleep in bunk beds in stables with concrete floors...

Whitsundays was my sailing trip out of Airlie beach, it basically is a trip designed to allow peeps to dive / snorkel the great barrier reef. We boarded a catamaran on the 1st a/noon & headed over to south molle island where we were to spend the next 2 eves. On the boat over everyone had already started drinking, I was being abit cautious due to previous sea sickness!! Anyhows got to the island we were staying on to find we had our own bar for everyone on the boa...

Up early again to get to Magnetic island, we headed straight for Townsville to catch the ferry across. Thankfully the weather has now turned hot so hoping to top up my tan abit. So caught the ferry across which only took about 25mins, arrived at our hostel which had it's own section of the beach was soooooooooooooo nice. Got some Kayaks out & went exploring round some rocks etc. Was a little nervous as they have probs with Tiger sharks around the island at the mo...
