Kells travels
Whitsundays was my sailing trip out of Airlie beach, it basically is a trip designed to allow peeps to dive / snorkel the great barrier reef. We boarded a catamaran on the 1st a/noon & headed over to south molle island where we were to spend the next 2 eves. On the boat over everyone had already started drinking, I was being abit cautious due to previous sea sickness!! Anyhows got to the island we were staying on to find we had our own bar for everyone on the boat which was about 35/40 of us. Watching the sunset during happy hour was amazing, was just like a postcard. That night everyone got wasted & we played drinking games etc. The next morning was a 7am start.... I was not feeling to clever I have to say. We boarded the boat & headed out to Whitehaven beach where we spent a little time, the beach was lovely pure white sand. It was then back on the boat & off to a snorkelling site, I didn't bother as the visability was poor. When we got back to the island some of the girls & me attempted a round of golf... have to say I was the worst of us ha ha. That eve is was back to happy hour whilst watching the sun go down yet again then more silly drunk behaviour, have to say I haven't laughed as much as I laughed during this trip in a long time. Next morning yet another early start this time I was feeling 100 times worse than yesterday.... some how I managed to not be ill, the boat stopped at another snorkelling site on the way back to Airlie beach which was alot clearer & the fish were wicked colours & huge. When back at Airlie beach most people met up from the trip for dinner & drinks, not my best idea to go along as ended up getting in around 3am & had to be up for a 7am bus out of there!!
