Took the sky train to the weekend market. The sweat poured off us and the smells left a lot to be desired. The market sellers will really try it on with you when they see white skin but remember to haggle and stay haggling. Found an Irish bar - The Dubliner. Good food and atmosphere here. Went to the Calypso Caberet - Best Lady Boy Caberet in town!! Left me feeling very confused...and strangely inadequate!! Enough said! These were extremely high quality "Ting Tongs"! I firmly believed throughout the show that some women were mixed into the show...but when the lights came up...all became clear...an experience many of us will know something about! The show did drag though (there is only so much camp miming I can watch, despite reports to the contrary!) and I found myself wanting to doze off except that the seats were so hard. Leaving for Phuket tomorrow. Staying in a village called Karon, right on the lovely beaches of Southern Thailand. Looking forward to clean air and relaxation for a week! Kellie x
