Queenstown

I all ready wanted to move here the minute we drove into town! It's beautiful! The mountains of mordoor aka The Remarkables surround the town! Queenstown feels 80s ski resort.

We spent 4 days in Queenstown and I'd love to have spent a couple of more days there. We went on walks around the town and the weather went from snow, rain, sun and wind.

Our first night was super fun! We were allowed to pre drink in our Hostel Nomads till 9pm so started at 6pm as Lauren was picking us up at 7:45. We bought her an All Blacks rugby ball and signed it to thank her for being an Aweeesommmeeee kiwi driver!

First stop was Ice Bar where we got to put on big coats with hoods and gloves and spend half an hour in a freezer. For $20 we got a free vodka cocktail in a glass made of ice. The bar was surrounded by ice sculptures of Frankenstein, penguins, mauri face. If you flashed the bar staff you got a free shot so obviously everyone did, guys got their willies out and girls got their boobs out in the freezing cold! The shot had to be taken out of the penis of a naked man ice sculpture! Half an hour was long enough in there as I was too cold after 15mins!

We went next door to The Boiler Room for a drink where Steph was hit on by a pickey kid who was wasted! He insulted Laura do she threw my ice at him! Steph shouted at him which made him push her, which in turn made her punch him in the face and give him a nosebleed. A true Geordie lass!

Next stop was base bar Altitude, Pete managed to win a $50 bar tab! Then we moved onto The World Bar for cocktail tea pots and hip hop were we danced tabs drunk till we had no money left except the McDs fund! We ordered, Neil got kicked out for going behind the counter and then we left and I shared mine with him at Nomads!

The day after was our first long lie (eh Rachael) in ages! We still woke up at 10am and went on the hunt for fast food! After phoning the pizza place 11 times we decided on a KFC breakfast (was 12pm by this point). I got the big snack burger meal. I thought it was a hash brown but in fact it was another piece of chicken in my burger gah!

We went back to the hostel and watched old school, went for a walk and then watched, How to lose a guy in 10 days, Pulp Fiction and the Just Go With It! Hangover day win!
