Bangkok does things differently, that goes without saying.
The Siriraj Medical Museum, nicely nicknamed the Museum of Death, which is located at an actual operational hospital, has rapists and murderers on display like they're old fossils. If that wasn't weird enough, there are conjoined twin bodies and the bodies of other deformed babies and their fetus's. And you know what? It's a damn sight more interesting and educational than the fabric museum we went in yesterday to cool down.
After a good hour or so looking at the exhibitions including tapeworms (where's my noodles!), we headed back to KSR to do some last minute shopping and a quick Thai massage, thankfully the 50+ year old lady didn't offer any happy endings, before our overnight bus journey at 6pm. 7pm. 8pm. (African time has reached Asia.)
The journey was pretty bad, if you can get the sleeper train, do. The seats didn't recline far enough to sleep and you arrive at 6am in the darkness, tired and having to find a hostel in the new unknown. At least they had a tv which played 'Battleship', the film that Rihanna should have never been in.
Lets see what Chiang Mai has to offer!
