Relatively smooth journey to phi phi although climbing from long tail boat to ferry with all out bags proved to be quite difficult as the ferrys can't come all the way to the docks this also made the journey slightly longer but overall a good journey. When we arrived all tourists had to pay 20 baht to enter! No idea why! Something about keeping the island clean, who knows! Again we have to walk to the other side of the island although we were offered taxis which were actually just wheelbarrows! And we're quite pricey considering we would still have to walk but our luggage wouldn't! So we finally get there and check in to the 'bunglow'which is vile. Hands down worse place we've stayed. Literally a shack with a mattress on the floor, no sheets and filthy pillows! The toilet and shower is basically outside there's even a plant next to the toilet and there are bugs everywhere... It was cheap but nowhere near the cheapest we've stayed! And as they don't do refunds we are forced to stay! However after asking they do bring us some clean bedding! Hallelujah! Wanting to get out of the shed ASAP we go off exploring! We walk around the little village looking at all the stalls selling the standard designer thailand hear aswell as some really lovely handmade jewellery and bags on some stalls, we decide to leave the viewpoint for another day as it looks really tiring and we are shattered so go back for a nap! We get up at 10 and struggle to find somewhere still selling food, we eventually do and are rushed in and out which we don't mind at all, makes a change from waiting for hours for food, then it's off to the beach bars for beer pong, buckets, rodeo bull and standing on a weird dangerous pole thingy the bull is brutal, I stay on 92 seconds, Elliot is 91 (wooo ) and when I am thrown off on the what look like a blow up bouncy castle type landing, it's not. It obviously not blown up enough and it feels like hitting concrete, thankfully my alcohol shield saved me but the next day I had developed a quite impressive bruise! We crawl home at 3 just as the bars are closing and fall into bed/s*** mattress on the floor!
