Another day another bus ride! To make things a bit more excited for our bus got stuck half way up a mountain and we had to get out and push it the rest of the way up, I of course got involved with the pushing while the other girls stood and videoed the situation, not that I probably did much good, but eventually we made it to luang Prabang and check into our hotel which is surprisingly nice! Today we go tubing! Responsible for hundreds of deaths a year! We buy our standard tourist tubing vests and dry bags and are shuttled off in a tuk tuk to the start of the river, we are welcomed with shots of whisky and quickly get involved in a game of flip cup which we lose and end up getting 'whaled' which Is a horrible concept where you take a drink and lie down and someone blows in your nose so you end up spurting it all out, like a whale. Today we head up to the blue lagoon, we hire a moped and try and use the hand drawn map to get us there which we eventually do, the road are awful and bumpy and full of cows which do not seem to want to move out he way! The 'blue' lagoon looks nothing like the picture and should be called the muddy brown lagoon it is still pretty cool, with zip lines all through the trees and rope swings into the 6 metre deep pool! Bus journey is obviously longer than they told us but not too awful, quite a pretty mountain drive through local villages, then we walk from the bus station to the hotel as the town is that small!
