Lake Taupo loks more like Sea Taupo but there you go, its a nice place and weather was sunny and we have a double room in a big house sharing with 2 other couples so is nice place. We arrived and checked in at reception and within 2 mins we ended up booking ourselves on the 3pm skydive jump god knows how that happened, was really excited about doing it but also really scared and sort of blocked it out. A white stretch limousine picked us up and drove us to the airport where we would do our jump from. We chose the highest jump they did which was 15,000 feet and got our partners mine was a big strapping man called Hungo(he was hungarian) and Jono got a bloke called The Viking, we watched a video of someone elses jump and got geared up and told to go in a banana shape when we went out of the plane and got told when tapped on the shoulder to hold your hands out...a great safety intro not! Anyway we were jumping with 2 other people both european and chosing the 12,000 feet jump the wosses! So we had to watch them jump out first which was awful then they started putting oxygen masks on me and Jono i though he was having an asthma attack and started getting worried about Jono then my guy told me to do the same we thought that they thought we were panicking buit you have to use it because of the height apparantly so i had to jump first as we were nearest the door and that feeling waiting there was unreal just waiting to jump the wind was unbelievable and as we leapt out my first thought was oh my god am doing it! and how cold it was in my ears they were popping like mad and we free falled for over a min which was unreal experience even though your plummeting to the ground it actually feels like your floating there, then he pulled my pink parachute(oh yes) and then we just floated down enjoying the scenery Jono was sort of near me and we was waving to each other was really good all the time a hand camera was shoved in my face so sometimes i look scared and other times look happy, when we landed me and Jono gave each other a big hug as we were alive yes!!! Was amazing experience and would do it again and yes katie i beat your height!!!!
