We're in Hoi An, which is a much slower pace than Hanoi. This area has several gorgeous resorts for mostly Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese tourist, with a sprinkling of Australians. Great shopping, with assertive owners. They are not impressed with window shoppers. It's raining now. We hope it stops before we go out to our cooking lesson. By the way, a deluxe mani-pedi at the hotel is roughly $17US. An hour massage is $15US. Mmhmm

Saturday morning we went Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum. The line wrapped around the block and wound inside the park. Since it was Saturday and the kids are out of school, it was very very busy. It took about 90 mins to get inside the mausoleum and see the very well preserved Ho Chi Minh. Did I mention how hot it was waiting in line? HOT! We went on a few other tours after that. We're in Hanoi, Vietnam and this place is full of hustle and bustle! Lots of people and scooters, lots of people on scooters, all moving at once. We've learned that you can fit lots of stuff on scooters including: -sleeping toddlers -4 adults and a child -a small refrigerator -15 foot pipes, at least 10 each on the left and right sides -300 long stem roses -6 50-pound bags of rice -and possibly a breast feeding woman, yes while in heavy traffic.
