It's my last few days in Sydney and I am looking forward to moving on! I've been here for almost three weeks and it's time for a change - it's the longest place I've spent anywhere so far.
This week has been really chilled out, the weather is so nice, 25 degrees most days. On Monday I spent all afternoon in the park sunbathing, reading and listening to music. Tuesday I took the bus down the Bondi Beach, which was really busy. It's nice down there but nothing to write home about! Yesterday was spent not doing a lot and today I went to Wildlife World. It's a brand new dome like place on Darling Harbour next to the aquarium. I was really looking forward to it but ended up being quite disappointed. Some of the animals weren't even in the zoo, it opened yesterday. There was a nocturnal section and I didn't see one animal! So I came away from there quite disappointed. This weekend the hot weather is continuing so we're heading to the beach - I'm making the most of it as New Zealand isn't going to be warm!
I've got quite far in planning my trip to NZ, I'm going to spend 4 days in Christchurch, then heading north to Kaikoura for 3 days, where I'm going to do more whale watching. I will then head to Picton for one day before taking a short flight over to Wellington. The plane is flippin small for my liking but it's only takes 25 mins and costs 23 quid I couldn't say no. The ferry costs the same and takes 3 hours! I'm then spending a week with my friend Tali before heading up towards Auckland, quite excited!
Steve Irwin's memorial was really sad yesterday, I was crying (especially when his 8 year old daughter gave a speech) and Pete just laughed at me! Still can't believe he's dead! x x x
