Elnido,
What can we say Elnido has been quality, a mixture of stunning beaches, beautiful lagoons, amazing people, mental nights and Bill Hobson.....
I'll start by saying Bill is an absolute legend, unfortunately we only met him on the second to last night of our departure from Elnido in a beach bar called puka bar on elnidos main beach
Myself, bill, Katie and Ashley met up that night as we were drinking in the reggae bar, and it defo turned out to be another good night. I was on form cutting shapes on the dance floor with people from all over the world....
But before all that we arrived in Elnido after our time in Puerto princea, following our 5hr minibus drive we arrived at our first stop citrine tourist travel lodge which was basic but clean, we found a nice place next door where we all chilled for the night had dinner watched the beautiful sunset and called on the cocktails....
The next day we hired a moped to tour the island and find some accommodation for the next few nights.
On our travels we found the most amazing place Nacpan Beach, it was off the main road by about 2miles we almost turned back as we thought there would be nothing off this dirt track, but we continued and found this amazing place. It was about 2miles of isolated beach with the most beautiful waters I have seen, there were maybe 20 people on the beach and after boracay that was good to see. Whilst there we found this small little place with no more than 6 native beach huts right on the beach that we decided to book for the next four nights. After that we headed back to Elnido town, showered and got ready for our last night out with our friends Jose the boy beach and monique as we were moving on and they were staying in town as they only had a few nights in Elnido. We started off by having dinner on the beach then headed off to town for our bar crawl, yes again it became one of those nights jds cocktails b52s and jeagars we were all smashed, what I do remember though is our toast for my pal Robson, joe was a big Tottenham fan and as they were playing that night and losing I suggested by toasting to my pal Robson who was also a big Tottenham fan before he sadly left us would somehow help joe out, anyway we did and Tottenham won that night, maybe Robbo was with us after all :-)
The next morning nursing a bad hangover we left on our trip to Nacpan with bob our little tricycle boy, it was an half hour tricycle ride which seemed like a lifetime, we didn't even get to say a proper or sober goodbye to our friends. Once arriving at Nacpan we checked into our beach hut and just chilled on the beach and it was very chilled, when the sun went down all the lights went out and there we was on our own in this isolated beach got to say it was abit spooky lol, there was one other couple there who had gone for a jog on the beach earlier on and we were sure we saw there figures in the water but it was so dark we couldn't make it out for sure it was weird lol
We decided to get our heads down in our room with the sounds only of the waves crashing as we slept...
The next morning we were woken up by the light coming through our floorboards and the bottom of our door in our hut. We got up had breakfast and then just chilled on the beach again that day. We decided to bring our time at Nacpan forward a couple of nights and only do 2 as although nice it was abit too quiet for us so headed back to town the following morning. We checked into another nice place called stunning vistas right on the beach where we stayed for the next 6 nights, we had booked a few island hoping tours to keep us busy for the next few days in Elnido and we visited some amazing places, the only downfall was that the tours were so busy. I don't understand why they take everyone the the same 12 places when there are over 7000 islands here in the phillipines, but they were good trips anyway. We also hired a motorbike for the day and found a zip line which was pretty good but not to fast and Katie stopped half way across lol
Once we checked out of stunning vistas we spent our last three nights in town which turned out to be good as there was a three day festival on with boat racing, bike racing and street dancing it was pretty good.
That's when we met bill and Ashley their a young couple from Stevenage, we had such a crack with these. Billy is with out a doubt the funniest fella I have ever met he had us constantly crying with laughter, he had no shame we will never forget his lawn mower dance which he would do in a crowded street or beach with every just looking in amazement. Oh yeah he was 6ft6 so stood out like a saw thumb. Still makes me laugh now and the boy had verbal diarrhoea even Katie couldn't get a word in and that's saying something lol. Legend!!!
We are leaving Elnido now to another island further north called Coron another stunning place known for its diving and ship wrecks, so should be cool, just another 8hr boat trip though not looking forward to that!!!
