Hi

We arrived in Hanoi ok. Went to Halong Bay for a couple of days and stayed on a boat overnight. Did some kayaking, swimming and cave exploring. Very relaxing. We're now in Sapa, up in the mountains of North West Vietnam. We can't see anything for the fog at the moment, wanted to rent some motorbikes to explore but it's all a bit dangerous. Just mainly spending our time in various cafes, bars and restaurants, having a wonderful time! We're back in Hanoi on Monday and then heading down to Hue where we can hopefully cut accross into Laos.

For anyone that's interested, our flight from London to St Petersburg wasn't on a radioactive plane (we hope). We checked the list of flights out and we seem to be safe! Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the build up to Christmas, we've only seen one tree and one snowflake decoration so far.
