Hello,

Beijing is amazing. We arrived yesterday from Mongolia, where we survived our 6-day journey into the middle of nowhere. Had an incredible time driving around the country on dirt tracks, sleeping in nomadic families Gers, climbing a volcano, horse riding around a huge frozen lake and eating a lot of mutton. We had a private performance from an Air Traffic Controller who played loads of Mongolian instruments as well as throat singing. It's definately been the highlight of the trip so far.

We've looked around the Forbidden City today - it's a massive palace complex in the centre of Beijing. Had some Peking Duck for lunch at a famous restaurant, it's very different to English Chinese but still tasty. Off to the Great Wall tomorrow to hike along it, hope it's not too hilly.
