Made it to Japan safely and have had three days exploring Tokyo so far. It's pretty big and pretty busy, very cool though. They're not afraid of using a bit of electricity here, there's lights and signs everywhere, crazy at night. We've been to visit a temple, eaten lots of rice and noodles, went to the Sony Showroom and generally walked about getting lost and confused. Went to a really weird cafe where creepy men get their photos taken with young girls in maid outfits, had a good chocolate cake though. Also got a karaoke booth yesterday and sang some Passion Pit. In general Tokyo has lived up to all the cliches - including really complicated heated toilet seats. Staying here for a couple more days then probably heading to Mount Fuji.
