Arrive in Beijing after 20 hours on a soft sleeper train, the journey wasn't too bad and went quite quickly. We spent most of it either in heated topical discussions with a few other members of our group or sleeping! We finally got off the train at 3pm in the afternoon. Katie: Woke up this morning on the river boat travelling down the Yangze River, looked out of our window and had the most beautiful views. The room on the boat was basic but very nice considering we were travelling by boat. Had its own private toilet (...although it was a squat toilet!) and shower. Katie:We went to go and see the Terrecotta Warriors in Xi'an, I thought they were a little underwhelming considering they are one of the�Eight Wonders of the World, its impressive considering they have been there for over 2000 years but they were much more broken than I expected and lots were still uncovered. Katie: At 5am we left the train and got a taxi to our hotel in Xi'an. The hotel is a really lovely 3* hotel very near everything you could possibly need. After leaving all of our stuff in the hotel we went for a well deserved traditional chinese breakfast which was lovely and definately needed. We then all decided to treat our self to a foot massage.
