Left Beijing and took a flight to Hong Kong where we arrived on the 18th in the evening to unfortunately very bad weather. Has rained for our entire stay making everything that little more difficult and uncomfortable. Although we have still really enjoyed ourselves.

On arrival at the airport we realised just how nice and helpful the people are here. We found accomodation really easily and were really impressed with the cleanliness & moderness of the airport. Took a bus to where we were staying in Kowloon just on Nathan Road right in the middle of all of the shops and the hustle and bustle. Did lots of shopping along the street despite the rain & loved the idea of everything being duty free! We also took the Star Ferry to Hong Kong Island where we had a look around and took some photo's however the weather meant it wasn't worth venturing up to The Peak. In the evening we walked along the 'Avenue of Stars' and watched the strangest lightshow- the show which is on nightly at 8pm uses lasers and strobe lightning to make the high rise buildings on the island light up! They light up to music in various sequences. The Island does look very pretty at night.

Today which is the 20th of May we only have the morning left in Hong Kong, where most of that was spent in the Post Office trying to send back the goods we had bought, which was an experience as at first we went to the wrong post office which was closed on Sunday and then had to carry a PS3 in the rain to another office which was literally 5 mins from our hotel...that was a little bit frustrating, but its been sent now so lets hope it arrives in one piece!

We are now sitting in the airport waiting to board our flight to Bangkok although it has been delayed by an hour, but we are making use of the free airport internet to update you all on our travels x

Arber: more mobile than you could shake a stick at!!!! - the one i wanted was 9000 HKD so i didnt buy it :( but i did get another gadget so i think my HK experience was complete - the light show was bizzarre strobe light and lazers it was like panto with sky scrapers!!!

However a strange man did fllow us around for a while whilst shopping i know what your thinking im being paranoid but he would wait out side shops for us then cross the street when we did and when i clocked him he disappeared very very wierd 

this aiport has been good to us we have been leechin off this free internet for nearly 2 hours!!
