Katie’s Aimless Wanderings
I hope you all enjoyed your pancakes! I have a feeling that 3 certain men are having a laugh at my expense - but next time we all meet the curry's on you Allan. I was going to choose everyone a present ; we have the choice of foot rot cream for the ladies, low sperm count medicine for the men and typhoid / malaria tonic for me probably. All of them seem to be made of mustard seeds and different grasses. I will buy a lucky dip and you can all get paranoid when you open them. We have had another long drive today to the rebel capital of Cote D'Ivoire. There are a lot more police stops at the beginning and end of each village ranging from logs and bits of leaf to metal spikes and bamboo barriers. It seems to be safe'ish as they are the right type of rebels. I think. It is a bit confusing. All I know is that if we see a Liberian we run. We have stopped for lunch in a small dirty town but all the cafés are spotless. The choice is chicken and chips or chips and chicken again. We have visited a few villages today, one specialising in making pottery and stopped by the river to watch the women working by washing their clothes and the men and boys splashing about enjoying themselves. We are now in a guesthouse which is in the town and is really posh! They may be rebels but all the villages have pumps for the water and we have electricity Emma! And 2 taps so must be hot water. AND a loo seat but not too keen about that. We are literally in a prison though- high walls, barbed wire, security guard on the first locked doors and then a courtyard to the second locked doors. But who cares when I can use my hair straighteners. This is just a stop over really as the country is so huge and we are making for the west side for a week. I may not get a signal everywhere but should be ok for the next few days.

Tim Holidays should be fun
Allan I had my own form of low sperm count medicine a few years ago. It took the form of burning through whatever connects my balls to my willy.
katie.jenks28 Would that be your brain Allan? X
Iain Message from Katie - no wifi where she is" now or tomorrow or next day either probably. Better tell people so they don't think I'm dead. " :)
Rich T Has anyone else noticed that the secret objective of Kate's travel itinerary seems to be make a very pretty cat's cradle out of the map of West Africa
Kaye's Mum Yes - my thought was that they were going round in triangles instead of the popular circles? Thanks Iain for passing on the message from Katie re wifi I am surprised that they had got that far.
