Today was a big day. We went to the Vatican and Henry and I lined up to see St Peters Basilica while the others cruised around because they didn't want to wait in the lines. It only took about 25 minutes, the only problem was the heat from standing in the sun. It was well worth the wait though, because inside the church was absolutely stunning and detailed. We went to line up for the Sistine Chapel, however we were hot and hungry and didn't want to stand in the sun again for another half hour so we missed it :(. Once again I wish I had another day, we're kinda rushing through some of these places way to fast. The vatican city was really pretty, We caught the train to the Triton fountain before heading to the Pantheon and then to the old city, where there was some pretty interesting ruins and newer (but still ancient) buildings.
Henry ordered the worst pizza I've ever eaten in my life for lunch, it was just a heated up plain frozen pizza that tasted raw with a bit of ham put on top. It was disgusting. I opted for a ham, cheese and salad roll which was a good option in my eyes! Because we had a kitchen we decided to cook up a meal for dinner, still going with the Italian theme, we cooked up a tomato based veggie pasta (not getting many veggies when you eat out every meal so that was good) which cost €5 euro between 3 of us - cheap!!
