For our Fraser Island trip we decided to base ourselves at Rainbow Beach, a smigeon of a town, devoid of any tourist traps and inexpensive compaired to other places. It was a lovely little seaside town, and the beach here was beautiful - backed by huge Sandblows. We arrived at 1770 to find it a very remote place, beckoned with dense tropical bush and rugged headlands. It is here where surfers go to test their skill (and courage!!) on the big breaks.
