When we left Dunedin, we drove staright up to Christchurch as we had to be there for Rachel's sister arriving. On the way we stopped at Moeraki where there were some amazingly round boulders. Yoshie had said that this was one of her favourite places in Newzealand and it was nice. From here we drove straight onto Christchurch (CHCH).
On Saturday (26th) we met up with Kaori and Tsuyoshi and went out for a meal as they are leaving the country soon so we won't be able to see them until they come to England (or we go to Japan!!!)
On Monday (28th) we took Rach to the airport to collect her sister, while Lizzie showered and Rach packed all of her stuff up i slept because i was ill with a cold. Later on in the afternoon we went into town. Rach left us that night to stay with her sister and the next next we went out for a meal to say a proper goodbye. Lizzie paid for it which was very nice of her-so thanks Lizzie! Was quite sad to see Rach go-we just hope she has had a good time!
The next day Neil and i found a hostel right in the center of town where we can park the van and the best thing is, it's so cheap and 5 minutes walk into the center. We had a look at the botanical gardens which are what they are and we rode the tram around town a few times because we got free tickets. (Well, we 'recycled' Lizzie and Rachels!)
After being tourists we started thinking about writing cv's and decided that Queenstown would probably be the best place to look for work as it is always busy and it services at least three of New Zealands ski fields.
