Spent our first night in a traditional Morae (can't put photos up on internet as it is their traditional home but can a how you when i get back!). We had to have a welcoming ceromony where the cheif of the tribe said lots of stuff in Moari and the cheifs wide sung a song. We then had to sing back to them and then rub noses with the cheif and is wife! (had to try very hard not to giggle!!Now that we have been welcomed we can return to the morae whenever we want an...

Got ferry over from south island (place called Piction.....all thats there is the ferry terminal!) to wellington in the north island. Wellington is new zealands capital. A world away from the south island - there are cars and people!Got stuck in a traffic Jam for the first time in weeks!. Wellington is known as windy city which it definatley is!Gusts of yp to 120km an hour! We went to the national museum and saw lots of cultural "stuff"....lots of stuff...

Took a helicopter up to the glacier. Went on a guided hike around glacier through loads of caves and crevases. Was amaxing and not too cold!Had to squeeze through some very small gaps!We were able to fill our water bottles up straigh from the glacier which tasted lovely!

Queenstown is adventure city with the main attractions being extreme sports! Went on a jet shot boat down the canyon which was pretty amazing, doing 360 degreee turns in a very small gap!!The did a 4wd tour of the scenery which was fab and tried my hand at gold panning (as shown in the photos!) It's really difficult! Found a very tiny spec of gold which I then lost but don't think would have been worth much! We had our first night out where we went to the minus ...

Travelled down to Milford Sound through some amazing scenery. Stopped at Hollyford valley and saw some mountain parrots before travelling through the Homer Tunnel. Spent the night on a boat crusing on the Tasman sea in the Nilford sound. Went kayaking from boat and saw lots of seals, and then decided it was a good idea to jump into the water which was 5 degrees!!!!Painfully cold! After a warm shower we had a fantastic meal(amazing ewhat they can cook on a boat!) ...
