Great Ocean Road!
Left adelaide and spent 3 days going along great ocean road. First sight was Mackenzie falls (waterfall!!) and we then went to various look outs which gave views across the grampians.
We stayed in a place called Halls gap for the first night where went for a walk and the kangeroos were just sitting in peoples gardens! In the morning we hiked up the grampians (after I managed to fall over my own feet on flat ground!!!) to the pinnacle . Was hard work but worth it for the view at the top!
We then hit the great ocean road (which to begin with is a bit disappointing because it felt like we were miles away from the ocean!) We entered the 12 apostles national park and saw land forms such as london bridge and bay of islands (thought I had travelled back to new zealand for a minute!!).We then headed to the twelve apostles for sunset and then again to see them in the morning light.
Next stop was the tree top walk through the rainforest which was fab!very high up though!
We then got to the bit of the great ocean road as I imagined it!A long winding road right on the coast with the bright blue ocean going on for miles infront of us. Stopped at various town along the way including apollo bay and torquay.
A highlight was definitely when we stopped on the side of the road and saw koalas in the trees above us!
Have now arrived in melbourne where I'll be until tues 16th december. Weather has changed between constant rain to sunshine and back again!Have met up with some people I did the northern territory with which has been fab!Have spent time exploring melbourne itself and going to Queen victoria market - the biggest market Ive ever seen!I'm staying in a suburb called st Kilda which is really nice too!And of course tomorrow I'm doing the must see neighbours tour!!;0)
