And no matter how happy or surprised the person who gave it to you is, the fact is- you always win.

We all know the trick to get you into a 90 minute presentation though and basically we went because the two young Indian gentlemen who were doing it said they wouldn't get their bonus pay if we didn't go. Hey we had nothing else to do with our afternoon anyway. We met the two guys on the street the next day and they were really happy and thanked us. I got the feeling they were genuine. They made no excuses about what it was. And we knew what we were getting into. The one guy told me that he had a degree from an online university in Tennessee and that World Vision had helped him since he lost his father when he was young. He said he couldn't find a job though and was doing this to make a little money. I know this all sounds suspect as well but I went with the benefit of the doubt. He was a really nice kid. Anyway, no harm done. The presentation ended up being three hours long with an Italian guy who was funny and talked a lot, as salesmen do. Tony ended up with a pink tshirt and since I "won" I got the free holiday for a 77 dollar service charge plus a promise you will listen to a two hour presentation during your stay. Won't be using that but if anyone is interested, they can try it. It's just accommodation, no flights or other expenses.

So that was our day pretty much. It was a touch of reality in our otherwise tranquil holiday in paradise. But it's over now, thank God. We are back to relaxing without a care again. Whew.
