Sawasdee from Thailand! Yesterday we visited the Phuket Aquarium. I took quite a few photos with my Nikon but I'll have to wait till later to upload them. Tony took lots with his phone though and we posted those.
Rode a tuk tuk to Patong again today to go to the mall. We kind of like it there I think :) maybe it's the Dunkin Donuts or the Starbucks. I think it's probably all the things to see there though. Prices for electronics aren't really any cheaper after you calculate it from Bahts. So we haven't really been buying that much, just mostly looking.
What I've learned so far here is that I like riding in tuk tuks to get somewhere. They are open air taxis and the drivers here usually scare you to death so I avoid looking where we are going. If you take a longer trip, best to get a car or van taxi. There are motor scooters ( mopeds) everywhere and I think it's the main transportation for locals. The road rules are pretty much everyone for yourself. I'm sure there are rules, it's just hard to see when you're praying that you'll make it to your next stop while you're sitting in the back of a tuk tuk. It's really great though, don't get me wrong. Keeps you awake lol.
Okay, going to take a rest and see whether we feel like venturing out for dinner tonight later. It's been raining lightly all day but it's still been a good day. Still love it here.
