Have been trying to make the most of the time before Adam starts his course and before colder weather arrives by seeing as many of the local sights as we can. Adam and I went to an amazing National Trust house (Ickworth House) built in the Victorian era by someone besotted with Italy. Another week has gone already! Time flying. Met with the school about Zac and he'll now stay in his current class with extension work as necessary. The school have been very helpful in suggesting strategies so hopefully it will keep him challenged and happy. Zac really relieved and settling happily now. After completely running out of options (as no one would take an Australian credit card and no head office in England to pay cash) ended up having to ask our new AirBNB landlords if they'd let us pay on their credit card if we reimbursed them. After a very happy start to school, the wheels fell off today. The staff think Zac should move up a level to year 2. Whilst this should be considered a good thing, poor Zac devasted at the idea of changing classes and his beloved teacher after just starting to settle and make friends. Poor little thing cried and cried. Even a new "bravery dog" to take to school only consoled him temporarily. He's so upset, saying he doesnt want to go to school anymore. Oh dear...
