Happiness Is The Road
It had rained most of the night and when our alarm went off it was still raining. It was another bad day to see the sun rise over the rock so we went back to sleep. When we woke again it was still raining but a lot heavier now. Seeing the sunrise over Uluru was just not meant to be. We had been lucky enough though to have had good weather when we got here and it was great that we had got to enjoy a brilliant sunset experience. After our brekky we headed off in the rain to Kings Canyon which was nearly 300 kilometres away. Along the way we saw some wild horses. By the time we stopped at a rest area for lunch about half way there the rain had stopped and we could see blue sky again. The scenery on the way was fantastic with huge rocky escarpments the closer we got to Kings Canyon which is at the western end of the George Gill Range and part of the Watarrka National Park. Kings Canyon is promoted as being Australia's Grand Canyon and we were looking forward to exploring tomorrow. It was too late in the day to do so now. We checked in at Kings Canyon Resort and found our spot on the campground. We chilled out for the rest of the day and later on we went to the pub and drank beer. There were signs up all around the campground warning of dingoes in the area. All the signs clearly stated NOT to feed the dingoes. This is to stop them becoming a pest, to stop them from injuring people and to stop the animal from becoming sick or dead. It is just sensible not to feed any wild animals. They should only eat their natural food. Anyhow later on after dark we were just leaving the camper to do our ablutions when we saw a couple of dingoes very close by. What we saw next annoyed us. Some stupid fat bint of an Australian woman (fifty mars bars a day from the size of her ****) was not only giving the dingoes food but she was hand feeding them. Looking at the size of her she definitely ate sugar in abundance so what the hell was she feeding the dingoes?!!! I just hope she wasn't giving them anything sugary or unnatural as this could make them ill. She looked that thick and stupid she probably couldn't read the signs. Whatever it was irresponsible of her and her husband and another guy who were watching this spectacle. We went to the ablutions block and on the way back one of the guys said to us 'there's dingoes over there'. We completely ignored him and got back in our camper. There was no point in saying anything to stupid people (sheep) like this and we didn't want to be part of it. We thought about reporting her as National Parks impose fines on anyone caught feeding the wildlife but we had no proof and I doubt that any action would have been taken. It always the case that irresponsible arrogant people get away with things like this. If it had been us we'd have got b******ed for it, but we're not brain dead enough to feed a dingo. We went to bed to the sound of a pack of dingoes howling at the moon. I'm sure one of them had the ***** that night!!!
