Kruger, Tsendze Rustic Camp Dec 19th - 20th This camp was not more than 6 months old and would have been a great place to spend a couple of days relazing if it hadn't been raining. In the morning with the rain off I enjoyed a hot outdoor shower and even caught a glimpse of blue sky!!

Kruger, Shingwedzi Dec 17th - 19 Rain, fewer animals and the north of the park. Here it just rained and rained so we didn't even see the point on going out on many drives but we did do a short drive just before the gates closed along the river, it was very scenic and perfect leopard country but luck was not on our side. The following morning we heard a helicopter over the restaurant and later found out it had been bringing people in from one of the rustic camps ...

Kruger, Letaba Dec 16th - 17th Elephant country and a nice camp ground.

Kruger, Satara Dec 14th to 16th Satara is lion county and we did hear a lot of them but it was not until we got up at the crack of dawn for a morning drive that we saw them. For the morning drive we had to be at reception for 3.45am!! It was still dark as we set out and it wasn't long before the vehicle stopped and still in the darkness we were able to use the spot lights to shed light on a small pride of lions, one male, three females and two small playful cubs...

Kruger, Lower Sabie Dec 12th to 14th Kaz had been told in camp to look out for a male lion only about 100m from the camp gates and sure enough enjoying the shade of a tree there was a magnificent male just waiting to be photographed, click, click click I went!
