Keflavik, Iceland - We weren't sure if 11 nights in Iceland would do the trick. But it has! We are relaxed, rejuvenated, full of scenic memories and have, quite possibly, hot-tubbed ourselves silly(er). We spent Monday enjoying the cabin and pre-packing... which actually turned into packing... so Tuesday was a chill-ax day before we drove to Keflavik for our final night's stay (and our final chance to see the northern lights... which was snowed out. (Northern Lights and Snow are mutually exclusive for Pie Chart enthusiasts). All we can say is if you can't see them with an 11 night stay... then that is just a great excuse to try again some day. It was a 2 hour drive to Keflavik and thankfully we're only an eight minute drive from the airport - which is handy as our flight is leaving at 7.35 am... or silly o'clock on Wednesday 22nd March... I'm emphasising dates right now because I'm losing track of them. Next stop - night of the 22nd in Stockholm (cue - walking tours x 2, boat cruise, Gamla Stan/Old Town) then back to the airport for our flight on 23rd at 9 pm to Vilnius, Lithuania. Breathe. Breathe. Back soon!
